Recently, there are various styles of clothing for nurses, which include one-piece, upper wear and long pants, and upper wear and skirts. In addition, the clothes have various colors as well as white, and can be patterned. Various reasons such as functional improvement and avoidance of giving patients intimidated and negative feelings on seeing a white coat have led to these changes. Thus, 304 female nurses were examined to clarify what impression they had of 6 styles of nurse' clothing. Clothing which patients considered favorable and nurses wished to wear comprised long pants and a non-patterned white coat. Clothing which patients did not consider favorable and nurses did not wish to wear comprised a floral-printed one-piece with a white background. A non-patterned white coat was highly evaluated from the points of ”sense of responsibility” and ”beauty”. The floral-printed style was highly evaluated from the points of ”thoughtfulness” and ” individuality”. Long pants were highly evaluated from the perspective of ”function” |
