| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to clarify the pattern and construction of a Nina Ricci evening dress on the Bunka Gakuen Costume Museum, once worn by Fubuki Koshiji at a recital in 1979. It appears the dress was imagined and constructed as a gorgeous rose on the black velvet body, because the red satin crape, seen on the face of the dress, was utilized on the inside of the bodies as well as the foundation supporting the dress. The pattern of the bodice, cut at the high-waist position, was development in a near circle pattern with joined tucks to construct a three-dimensional rose –like shape. As for the sewing method which took stage costume into consideration, we were able to clarify various techniques such as the following: the use of two layers on the inside of the bodice foundation as well as a wire fitted inside the train’s seam to keep the train from becoming disarranged when moving about on stage |
