In photographs, objects become photorealistic in size. As a result, we often notice the difference between the apparent size and the photorealistic size of the same object. To reduce this incongruity, the author hopes to propose a new re-producing method for 2D images based on the apparent size of an object, and here reports the results of an experiment that will be useful for developing the new method. The present study aimed to determine how the locations of comparison stimuli left and right of the reference stimulus affect the apparent size. The apparent size of a spherical object at a symmetrical position to the reference object (a spherical object) was measured, and skew ratios were calculated for all positions.
