Four yarn densities and six textile colors were prepared for cotton fabrics and piled on a black or white paper. The semantic differential method was applied for the evaluation with 14 pairs of adjectives, and revealed that the score of the impression evaluation was linearly correlated to the area void fraction of the covering fabric.
