Ten female subjects aged 20 to 25 years old were also measured under the same conditions as the control. The cold/warm thresholds of the leg, foot and sole were high and those of the forehead, cheek and chin were low for each group. Both thresholds were higher for the elderly than they were for the young women, and they increased with age.
