京都の舞妓さんが胸高にきつく締める帯で顔の汗を抑えている” との通説は，皮膚圧－発汗反射によるものと考えられる．本研究は，実際に帯の締め位置で体幹部を圧迫した際．顔面や頭部周辺の発汗がどの程度抑制されるかを明らかにすることを目的とした．健康な若年女性5 名を対象に，35 ℃・50 ％ RH の暑熱環境下で，腋窩（後腋窩点高）・アンダーバスト（UB，第5，6 肋間近傍）・腰（腸棘点高）の3 部位をベルトで締め，それぞれ約5.0kPa の圧迫を負荷した．測定項目は，局所発汗量（前額，頬部，後頸部，胸部，大腿前面），皮膚温（胸部，上腕部，大腿部，下腿部），直腸温である．その結果，腋窩圧迫時に前額，頬部，後頸部で25 ～ 35 ％，UB圧迫時に頬部で約10％，有意に発汗が減少した．“ 舞妓の胸高な帯による顔の汗抑制” は実証されたが，腋窩とUB のどちらの圧迫時にも大腿部で有意に発汗が増加し（15 ～ 55
