This is a particular style unseen in other countries.\nThis study conducted an attitude survey on stockings & socks as well as a survey on the use of highly trendy contemporary stockings & socks to university students specialized in fashion, and analyzed the tendency. In addition, this study conducted the researches in two French museums, “Les Arts Décoratifs” and “Musée de Vauluisant” and strived to create the database of stockings & socks owned by these museums as excellent designs with truly various techniques such as embroidery, watermarks and lace patterns can be seen in female stockings & socks of mainly the 19th century in existence. Then, university students specialized in fashion newly designed stockings & socks based on the surveys and researches, displayed the stockings & socks in “Leg wear exhibition” held in January 2013, and published a leaflet on stockings & socks.
