The collection has been, however, unopen to the public because it has been used as the design resource of Matsuzakaya's products. Therefore, the detail is yet to be clarified. In the year 2010, the collection was moved to Nagoya. On this occasion, we conducted academic research in oreder to examine its potision as a textile collection. Collected under the peculiar purpose, the collection counts about 10,000 pieces. This research focused on the 52 selected superior kosodes. As a result, we found a number of examples which embody the history of textiles and transition of kosode.
