 note = {Yukata workshop in UK with about 55 junior school students (in 2010) and 40 junior high school students (in 2011) at Blessed Robert Sutton School (Burton on Trent) with about 26 adults and University students in Loughborough (in 2009) and with 18 University students (in 2011). For all workshops, the participants tried, with our help, to put on Yukata after demonstration of a instructor showing how to put them on. We carried out a survey about (1) interest in modern and traditional Japanese culture before the workshop and (2) the skill, the understanding, the interests, and the feeling of wearing Yukata after the workshop. Through an analysis of the survey in Japan, UK and China, they felt that they did not have enough skill but they felt a good understanding and interest about it. About the feeling of wearing, they felt happy and formal even though they also felt too tight. It was verified that the class practice including try-on-Yukata workshop could raise the interests in kimono culture for Japanese and foreign young people. The interest in “Kimono” culture can create more understanding towards Japanese other culture and it can contribute to the international exchange and to transmit traditional culture to the world., 日本の「きもの」文化は、日常着が洋装化し既製服が普及した今日、若者に理解されにくくなりつつある。一方、全国規模で外国人観光客が増加傾向にあり、情報のみならず、人やモノの移動を含むグローバル化が進んでいるが、日本の伝統文化をどのように発信するかについての検討は十分でない。このような「きもの」文化をめぐる現状を打開するために、本研究では、「きもの」文化を伝承するための、そして、世界へ発信するための教育プログラムを開発することを目的とした。「きもの」の内でも最も身近でカジュアルな浴衣を取り上げ、その着装を含めた「きもの」文化の理解を深める体験型教育プログラムを開発した。教材として「ゆかたがわかる」をテーマとするテキスト版、デジタル版を作成し、インターネットでの教育サービスの提供を試みた。浴衣の着方に関しては日本語版に加え海外に発信するための、中国語版、英語版のデジタル教材も作成し、海外へのインターネットでの教育サービスの提供を試みた。中学・高等学校の協力校10校（累積数）で授業実践し、授業前後に着物文化や着装感に関わるアンケート調査を実施した。授業実践後の調査結果の分析により日本の若者でも外国の若者でも浴衣の着付けの技能の習得は十分と捉えていないが、着付けの仕方を理解し、着装後に高揚感を感じ、それらの体験が着物文化への興味関心を高めることに貢献していることが確かめられた。「きもの」文化を紹介する本教育プログラムの開発は、日本の若年層に日本の「きもの」文化を尊重し継承・発展させようとする心を育て、外国の若者にも日本の伝統文化に対する関心を高め国際交流にも寄与できることが明らかとなった。},
