However, close examination of the sketches reveals that there are some variations in their construction and touch. We surmise that the sketches were not made by one person in one period, but by several painters over several periods and then put together. In addition we investigated each sketch from a social point of view. After three years of study, we could not find sufficient evidence to prove that the Maruyama School painter took part in the production, but we can conclude that the construction of the sketches was influenced by the unique spatial consciousness of Okyo Maruyama.
