 note = {This study aims to survey materials, sources and information related to kimono, kimono designs, and textiles produced in Kyoto during the modern period in Japan. We contacted collections located in the city of Kyoto with materials related to our research by mail and the resulting survey has cast some light on the whereabouts and current state of kimono those days. This year, we interviewed the staff in charge of the collections. We made a list of the articles that appeared in the newspaper Shenshoku Hinode Shinbun, as they give an invaluable insight into the trends of the textile industry in Kyoto during the early Showa period (1932-1940). We interviewed Takashimaya Department Store staff in order to understand the important role that the kimono design department of the store (Takashimaya Hyakusen-kai) played in establishing kimono fashion trends.We will complete the list of survey activities next fiscal year, and our survey will be open to the public., 近代染織、とりわけ着物の生産地として栄えた京都市内に点在する近代の着物関連資料の所在や現状に関する調査をおこない、情報の整理と体系化を行うことを目指す。共同研究にあたって、各研究者の所属先における所蔵資料を手始めに、京都市内で所蔵されている資料の調査と関係者への聞き取り調査を実施する。また共同研究者は、本共同研究で収集した調査・資料を元に、それぞれの設定した研究課題に取り組む。},
