Fifty-six pairs of female college students and their mothers were asked 12 questionnaires about their purchasing behaviors as the subjects, and also 12 questionnaires about their clothing consciousness were researched in order to sum up the analysis data. The following conclusion was obtained: 1. Three principal components-daily living, conforming and feeling factors-compose the structure of purchasing consciousness. 2. For daily living factor, the correlation between students and their mothers was confirmed. 3.
